- Never brat when you've just had a bath. Spankings -- even hand spankings -- can be nearly unbearable on freshly bathed skin.
Yes, I bratted right after having my bath tonight -- er...this morning rather. A. told me to go to bed and I made the mistake of telling him to "make me" with a cheeky glint in my eyes.
Needless to say, he grabbed me by the hand, led me to the bed, and took me over his knee.
Ouch.
It was just a hand spanking but...OMG did it sting! Even after I'd taken my nighttime narcotic dose (which, paradoxically, could be making my spankings hurt worse).
So, um, note to self and all that.

Ouch. Thanks for the heads-up.
Of course, for those like me, who've only been spanked once or twice in the recent past, any spanking will hurt like the dickens. But then, I guess I'd better take extra care to make sure it won't happen right after a bath...
This is why I do my best to only take baths or showers when W is out of the house. ;P
Interesting how taking pain relievers could actually cause one to experience *more* pain.
PS--Did I just read you posted this at 4:53 **AM**?!?! What is your bedtime, young lady?
;P
No problem, Rose. Glad I could provide that valuable bit of info. :-)
And yes, JA, it is interesting that narcotics can actually cause pain. Though A. quite likes it cause it means he doesn't have to spank as much. And, well, given the whole Coumadin thing, it probably helps to keep bruising down as well. But, you know, pout.
Oh, and um, regarding bedtime...yes, you read my post time correctly. It's sorta been changed to 3 am. At least that's what we decided at 4:30ish this morning when I was over A.'s knee. ::rubbing my bottom:: (My stupid thyroid medicine isn't making me sleepy enough to sleep through the night until 2am.)
Feeling well enough to brat but not quite well enough for the inevitable response? Sounds like a dangerous combination to me!. :-) Aw, who cares-- glad you're feeling well enough to brat! Hope you get your sleep cycle straightened out soon.
::giggle:: I was well enough for the response, it just hurt more than I was expecting. Or rather, I forgot it hurt so much after bathing. D'oh!
And thanks, I am feeling a bit better. I started a new immune support supplement that by golly seems to be making me feel better. :-D
WOO HOO for feeling a little better! Plus, I have to figure you're feeling a little better, because you've been POSTING MORE!! :)
PS--Lucky you, with that bedtime. I'm guessing your body clock doesn't insist on waking you by seven AM.
I wish I could wake up at 7am. It would make life a lot easier when it comes to scheduling appointments. Instead I've been sleeping from 3am to about 1-2 pm.
Gratefull for sharing this
